Jim and I first competed together since we were 19 years old. We have been friends for a long time!
I took a break from competing and continued to train hard, but Jim continued to compete very successfully and opened Gymbos. When I decided to get back into competition, I joined Gymbos. Jim had been very successful in natural bodybuilding during my layoff and the gym was full of great people.
Since joining the gym in 2008, Jim has helped me to earn my WNBF pro card, my first heavyweight pro victory and been instrumental in helping me to grow my own business which now operates out of Gymbos. That’s just my story.
The gym is filled with many successful people in all walks of life, personal journeys and competitions. Over the years Jim has successfully created an environment that is family oriented with a good mix of competitors and everyday people. Jim has helped many people turn pro in multiple organizations and its a place full of inspiration and excitement. A place filled with hard working individuals, but everyone feels a good sense of community, like a team. People are always willing to lend a hand or offer advice.
Jim not only is an inspiration at the gym, but is a spiritual leader as well. The gym has even advanced beyond the weight room as a faith based gym that organizes a mission trip to Honduras every year to help a small, downtrodden village. Jim has strongly established a gym that is based on the pillars of faith, dedication, commitment and community. Its a place that I have grown stronger physically, emotionally and spiritually.
